In 2011, a national survey reported that 24 % of teens had ridden with a driver who had been drinking alcohol within the past month, and 8% stated that they have driven within the same month period after drinking alcohol.
4.    Other factors - Teenage drivers are more likely to underestimate or recognize dangerous or hazardous situations.
